Terms & Conditions – Mobility Scooter Repairs

 

1. Mandatory Service Before Repairs
 

Before any repair work is carried out, your mobility scooter must undergo a full diagnostic service. This ensures we accurately identify all faults. The service includes: 
 

  • A full inspection of mechanical parts (brakes, wheels, suspension, etc.). 

  • Testing of electrical components (battery, motor, controllers, wiring). 

  • A detailed report of any issues found. 

  • Service fees must be paid upon completion and are non-refundable. 

 

2. Repair Costs & Customer Approval 
 

Once the service is complete, we will: 

- Provide a clear breakdown of required repairs and associated costs. 

- Seek your written or verbal approval before starting any repair work. 

- Contact you for additional approval if new faults are discovered during repairs. 

No work will begin without your consent.

 

3. Parts Policy: Second-Hand vs. New Parts
 

-Default: We use tested, quality, second-hand parts to keep costs affordable. 

New Parts: If you prefer brand-new parts, you must notify us before the service begins. 

- New parts may increase costs and require longer lead times (subject to availability). 

 

4. No Refunds Policy
 

- Services: Diagnostic fees are non-refundable (covers labour and inspection time). 

- Repairs: Once work is completed, payments are final 

- Parts: Ordered parts cannot be refunded, even if unused. 

 

 

5. Warranty & Liability
 

- Repairs are guaranteed for 100 days (excludes damage from misuse, accidents, or unrelated faults).

- We are not responsible for: 

  - Pre-existing damage not reported before service. 

  - Issues arising after collection (e.g., water damage, crashes, unauthorised modifications). 

 

6. Storage & Abandoned Scooters

- A storage fee of £5 per day applies if your scooter is not collected within 15 days of completion. 

- Scooters unclaimed after 2 months may be sold or recycled to recover costs.

 

7. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure smooth repairs, you agree to: 

- Disclose any known faults or prior repair attempts. 

- Ensure the scooter is clean and safe for inspection. 

- Remove personal belongings before drop-off.
